Introduction on how we remove excess ear wax
We provide 2 types of service for ear wax removal.
Type 1
We use water to flush the ear, forcing the excess of ear wax out into a drainage cup.
Clinic Service £35
Home Service £45
Type 2
After using 2 days of ear drops to loosen wax, the microsuction device is inserted into the ear by our trained professionals to suck out the excess wax.
This service also come with a more comprehensive inner ear health check by using micro cameras to see inside the ear.
Microsuction ear wax removal is a treatment where we remove wax from the ear utilising a small suction device while examining your ear. We’ll examine the ear with a binocular microscope which provides a clear view of the canal, facilitating the extraction of the wax through low-pressure suction.
Most microsuction ear wax extraction bookings take 15 to 30 minutes to remove excess wax from both ears. Our bookings are for 20 mins.
If no ear wax is found during your Microsuction appointment you will still have a comprehensive inner ear check and be given tips on ear wax build up prevention and should any other concerns be found, we will facilitate next steps, such as, referrals, guidance and information.
Ear wax normally just falls out on it’s own. When it’s blocking your ears, we can help.
Symptoms of ear wax build up include:
You cannot prevent earwax. It’s there to protect your ears from dirt and germs.
But you can keep using eardrops for a few days to soften the wax. This will help it fall out on its own and should prevent blocked ears.

Important
Do not use your fingers or any objects like cotton buds to remove earwax. This will push it in and make it worse.
Earwax usually falls out on its own. If it does not and blocks your ear, out 2 to 3 drops of medical grade olive oil or almond oil in your ear 3 to 4 times a day. Do this for 3 to 5 days.
It is recommended you use a dropper while lying your head on one side for a few minutes to let the oil work its way through your ear canal(s).
You may find it easier to do this first thing in the morning and then just before you go to sleep. Over about 2 weeks, lumps of earwax should fall out of your ear, especially at night when you’re lying down.
There is no evidence that ear candles or ear vacuums get rid of earwax.
